watching "The force within us"

In nine short hours (as opposed to long hours, why an hour could have different lengths I don't know?) my partner's humble abode will be graced with my honorable presence along with beers from the farthest corners of the world. We plan to watch Cris Macht's "the force within us" documentary movie. It's about regular people like us who like the story and enjoy the movies along with an array of individuals directly involved with production of the movies, cartoons, and artwork. Are you ready?

Star Wars Celebration VI is upon us!!!

Stop By the CMI Toys Booth (#1103) in the Exhibitors Hall to say Hello to film maker Cris Macht.
They will be giving away 1 of 4 different trading cards each day as well as an exclusive poster designed by Star Wars artist Kevin Liell (the Poster is FREE with purchase or during signing times)
Signing times for Cris Macht and Kevin Liell will be:
Thursday – Noon – 1pm

Saturday – 4pm-5pm
Sunday – 1 – 2pm, 4:30-5pm
Cris Macht will also be part of the panel "Star Wars is Forever and So Are We!" Saturday night from 7:30 – 8:30.

CMI Toys is three weeks away from SWC6

CMI Toys (Booth #1103) will have a lot of great new and vintage merchandise at Star Wars Celebration VI in Orlando, Florida, August 23-26, 2012 at the Orange County Convention Center. They have been feverishly preparing

a large collection of vintage figures for the booth. Both Edwin and Jack have worked many late nights on hundreds of figures. There will also be new merchandise like recently sold out San Diego Comic-con Exclusives and hard to find new figures such as Darth Malgus and Shae Vizla!!!

Not only will there be a wide selection of collectibles in the booth (which is at the front end of the 1100 aisle to the right of the entrance) but they will have exclusives and guests at the booth throughout the four day event.

Director/Producer of The Force Among Us sequel, Cris Macht, will be appearing at the CMI Toys Booth #1103 all weekend long. Be sure to stop by to preorder the DVD of The Force Within Us, and get a free Tusken/Ewok poster designed by Star Wars artist Kevin Liell (exclusively for Celebration VI!) Cris will also be giving away 4 different trading cards designed by Paul Bateman. The quantities are limited and there will be one different trading card given away each day. “Like” the force among us on facebook for all the news updates!

Also at the CMI Toys booth throughout the weekend will be the authors of Star Wars Road Trips. They will be doing book signings at various times each day.

Kevin Liell, the artist who designed and created the TuskenEwok image for The Force Within Us Movie (shown above), will also be appearing in the CMI Toys booth periodically over the weekend. He will be signing posters and have at least one exclusive print for sale. Please come by the booth every morning for an early chance at Celebration 6 exclusives, get news about signing schedules, and see cool merchandise. Watto will also be at the booth again this year for a free photo op. Watto wasn't at the first Celebration, but he was a huge hit at SWC5 in 2010. Dragon Con After Dark Panel

Dragon Con, Atlanta, GA. September 2-6, 2010:  So we were asked to take part in a podcast/panel about “Con parties & Con Kink”. The panelists included Victoria Taylor, who is in the upcoming Dead by Friday movie. It started out like a normal podcast and then took a bad left turn into the ditch. SWC5: The days went from the high expectations we had about the show being a flood of cash from collectors to a sprinkle of change from bottom feeders.

Pre-Star Wars Celebration V set up

Want the full scoop on Star Wars Celebration V from some guys who will be directly on the front lines? We will experience the FULL SWC5, not only from a fan/general attendee, but we will also be exhibitors managing a full line Star Wars merchandise booth. We are hoping that our glass shelving holds and doesn’t collapse like Death Star shrapnel. Other than Intergalatic warehouse and mail order, we are the only Florida based store set up that I know of and we ARE in the Front, booth #103. We have prepared a full selection of Star Wars Collectibles from 1977 up to present release. Not only will we have a booth full of stuff as high as seven feet on glass shelving, we have two guests that will be appearing in our tiny ass little 10x10 booth. Cris Macht, the director/producer of “the Force Among Us” film documentary about the Star Wars Movies and the fans who keep the Force alive will be meeting fans and signing copies of his movie. Also, Ana Aesthetic, fashion model and independent Star Wars costume designer will be posing for photos and signing. If nothing else, you should come see the wonder of our excellent design skills for shoe-horning all this into this one space. Our original plan was actually to build a second level out of 4x4s and 3/4inch plywood but the height limitations are 8feet, dammit.
